If a beer could wear a kilt, the Wee Heavy Scottish Ale definitely would! The club will be hosting a group brew day for this classic Scottish beer style for members at Jeremy Nunn's house on Saturday, August 20th. We will be using Jeremy's 15-gallon electric brewing setup to brew a Wee Heavy Ale (also known as Scottish Heavy Ale, BJCP Category 14B). In addition, we'll have a couple commerical examples of Wee Heavy on hand for members to taste. Join us to learn about brewing this beer style and get a close-up look at how an electric brewing system works!
